Terry Burns

Terry Burns was born March 16, 1947 in Jackson, TN the son of the late Obra and Ella Marie McCoy Burns.

Mr. Burns graduated from Ramer High School and earned his Masters degree from the University of Memphis. He worked for McNairy County Board of Education for 45 years as a teacher and Technology Director of McNairy County Schools. He received the Dr. Howard Sisco Outstanding Technology Leader Award for 2009-2010. He was an avid reader and book collector, loved movies and wrote movie reviews for local newspaper publications.

Mr. Burns departed this life on January 25, 2019 in Adamsville, Tennessee at the age of 71 Years, 10 Months, 9 Days. He is survived by a brother, Don Burns and wife Ann of Ramer, TN; nephew, Donnie Burns and wife Grace; special friends, Brenda Armstrong, Elizabeth Blankenship and husband Brandon; aunt, Peggy Carlin; cousins, Mike Burns and wife Betty, Trenna Blow and husband Bob, Tony Burns and wife Joy, LaAuna Williams, Sherry Brooks, Tina Rowsey, and Tammy Forsythe and husband Steve; and a host of friends.
