Terrie Diane Swinney Terry

Terrie Diane Terry departed this life on Thursday, February 27, 2014, at the age of 66 years, 10 months, 2 days.

She was born in Roselle, Illinois on April 25, 1947, the daughter of the late Norman and Elizabeth Ray Swinney. On August 02, 1963, she was united in marriage to John McKinley Terry, who survives. Terrie had lived in Spruce Pine, Alabama and Hardin County, Tennessee since May of 1968. She was a beautician by trade and had also worked at River Heights Manufacturing for 5 years. She enjoyed walking, shopping, loved people, especially her great-grandson, Hunter. Terrie was a member of the First Baptist Church in Phil Campbell, Alabama.

Terrie is survived by her husband of 50 years, John Terry of Crump, Tennessee; son, Kenny Terry of Crump, Tennessee; grandson, Matt Terry and wife Jessica; great-grandson, Hunter Terry; brother, Gary Swinney and wife Bert of Rockford, Illinois; sisters, Vaughn Babbics of Hickory, North Carolina, Jackie Woiwod and husband Orville of Dewey, Alabama, and Peggy Swinney of Rockford, Illinois; a special niece, Kelly Tauber of Rockford, Illinois.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Norma Sue Horner; brothers, Weldon and Houston Swinney.
