Services for Tennie Steele Ruble, age 89, of Germantown, TN, formerly of Wayne County, will be at 1 pm on Sunday, January 20, 2008 at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel in Waynesboro, TN with Robert Sadler officiating. Burial will be in the Clifton Cemetery in Clifton, TN with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County directing.
Mrs. Ruble, a native of Clifton, TN, died Thursday, January 17, 2008 at Methodist Hospital in Germantown, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin T. Steele, Sr. and Fannie Rinehart Steele and a brother, M. T. Steele, Jr.
For many years, she taught school and also served as principal in the City of Memphis School System. Mrs. Steele was a member of the Retired Teachers Association, a charter member of the Clifton Eastern Star, and a member of the Clifton Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband of fifty-nine years, Russell Ruble of Germantown, TN and numerous cousins.
