T. R. Foster

Rev. T. R. Foster, age 68 of Pocahontas, passed from this life Tuesday, November 11, 2008 in Selmer, TN.He was born May 26, 1940 in Pocahontas, TN to the late William Taft and Ida Pearl Lowrance Foster. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean conflict from 1963 to 1965 and married his wife, Shirley Ann Jones, who survives, June 4, 1965. He attended Crump Vocational School for two years and worked as a self-employed contractor. He was also a Pastor at several area churches and served as an evangelist for many years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Teresa Poole and husband Glynn of Cedar Rapids, IA; two sons, Terry Foster and wife Angie of Pocahontas and Timothy Foster and wife Stacy of Walnut, MS; a brother, Travis Foster of Ramer, TN; eight grandchildren, James and Ken Chessor, Zack, Tanner and Marly Foster, Tyler Cox and Hannah and Madison Foster; and two great-grandchildren, Kayleigh Jade Foster and Victoria Rose Chessor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Foster.
