T. J. Baker

T.J. Bakerwas born in Clifton, Tennessee on March 13, 1920 the son of the late James Robert (Jim) and Ammous Boroughs Baker.On July 30, 1960 he was united in marriage to Betty Jo Coffelt, who survives.Mr. Baker retired from Preston Carroll Construction Company where he was a manager. In addition to Clifton, Mr. Baker had lived in Knoxville, Tennessee. He was a member of the Church of God in Clifton.Mr. Baker departed this life on Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at the age of 88 years, 10 months, 14 days.In addition to his wife, Mr. Baker is survived by 3 sons, Troy J. Baker and Terry J. Baker both of Clifton, Tennessee and Douglas W. Champion of Knoxville, Tennessee; 3 daughters, Marylee Lazzaro of New Tazewell, Tennessee, Carolyn A. Godfrey and Pamela A. Reynolds both of Knoxville, Tennessee; 14 grandchildren, Melissa G. Champion, John D. Champion, Duane Walker,Derick Walker, Allison Baker, Ashlyn Baker, Hayden Kiddy, Riley Baker, Thomas Treadway, Jessica Pressley, Adam Pressley, Allen Feerer, Jr., Sarah Feerer, and Megan Lazzaro; 4 great-grandchildren, Madison A. Walker, Talynn Walker, Abagail Champion, and Timothy L. Huff.In addition to his parents, Mr. Baker was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Baker; a brother, Robert Baker; a grandchild, Marsha D. Walker.
