Sylvia Joyce Nixon

Sylvia Joyce Estes Nixon was born February 21, 1935 in Atwood, Tennessee the daughter of the late Lonie C. and Sallie Ann Graves Eates.She was united in marriage to James L. Nixon on August 18, 1948. Nixon preceded her in death on June 4, 1995.Was a retired Home Maker and attended Meeks Grove Baptist Church.Mrs. Nixon departed this life on August 14, 2007 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 72 Years, 5 Months, 24 Days.She is survived by two daughters, Annette Nixon King of Adamsville, Tennessee and Joyce Whitley and husband Ross of Bethel Springs, Tennessee; a son, Melvin Nixon and wife Pam of Tishomingo, Mississippi;two sisters, Louise Humphies of Michigan and Dellia Chandler of Holly Springs, Mississippi; two brothers, Thomas and Preston Taylor both of Michigan; two grandchildren, Jason Sisk of Savannah, Tennessee and Mike Sisk of Texas; five great grandchildren, Sarah, Sydney, Lexie, Jacob and Kalan Sisk.
