Sylvia Kay Helton, 59, of Toone, Tennessee died Friday, November 25 at her home.
The wife of Jack Dempsey Helton, who survives, she was a homemaker. Mrs. Helton was born September 2, 1946 daughter of the late Eugene Noah Kupfner and Opal Earlean Embry Kupfner. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Somerville and had lived most of her life in the Oakland and Memphis area.
Services were 1 pm Monday, November 28, 2005 at Shackelford Funeral Directors Bolivar chapel with Robert Gibson and Fred Clifft officiating. Burial was Ebenezer Cemetery with Derek, Bobby and Terry Helton, Dustin Kelley, David Chandler, and Steve McKee serving as casket bearers.
In addition to her husband, whom she married October 19, 1966, she is survived by two daughters, Melissa Overton of Toone and Cynthia Grantham of Bolivar; two sons, Robert Helton of Somerville and William Helton of Toone; one sister, Patricia Bullock of Lubbock, Texas; two brothers, Frank Kupfner of Middleton and Eugene Kupfner of Gunbarrel, Texas and eight grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a sister, Ella Jean Dozier and a brother, Earl George Kupfner.
