Susie Byrd Curtis of Savannah, age 93 died May 28, 2006 at Hardin County Nursing Home in Savannah, Tennessee.
Born in Hardin County on June 29, 1912, she was the daughter of Charlie and Ada Byrd.
She was married to Frank Curtis who preceded her in death on January 31, 1985.
Mrs. Curtis was retired from Hardin County General Hospital and was a member of East End United Methodist Church.
Two sons, Travis Curtis of Savannah and Ronnie Curtis of Pensacola, FL; two sisters, Lola Pendley of Huntsville, AL and Faye Wiggington of Corinth, MS; seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren survive her.
Mrs. Curtis was also preceded in death by two sons, Brink Curtis and Jimmy Curtis; three brothers, Chester Byrd, Noel Byrd and Doss Byrd; two sisters, Bessie Kyle and Mary Smith; one grandson, Joe Curtis and one great granddaughter, Gillian Holloway.
