Susan Bailey Harris Susan B. Harris was born September 25, 1957 to Clara Haynes and Felix Andrew (Jazz) Bailey. She was the youngest of six children.
On September 9, 1975 she was joined in Holy Matrimony to Cary L. Harris. They were blessed and highly favored with a beautiful daughter, Nicole Blessen Harris.
Susan graduated from Central High School in 1975. She attended the University of Tennessee at Martin and Crump Vo-Tech.
Susan was employed by Brown Shoe Company for 14 years. Later on in her life, she was employed as a Customer Service Representative at Jones Motor Company and Ronnie Smith Chevrolet, respectively. Later, health problems forced her to leave the workforce. Susan loved to cross-stitch, cook and serve as a gracious hostess.
Faith Pointe Church (Adamsville) was her home church where she attended faithfully until health problems prevented her from doing so. She knew the Lord as her personal savior, and she witnessed as well as acknowledged His hand in her life.
She leaves to cherish and honor her memory a husband, Cary Harris; one daughter, Nicole Harris; her father, Felix (Jazz) Bailey of Savannah, Tennessee; three sisters, Carolyn (Frank) Taylor of Savannah, Tennessee, Bobbie Robinson of Savannah, Tennessee, Myrtle Dixon of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; two brothers, Johnnie (Dorise) Bailey of Bowling Green, Kentucky and Larry Bailey of Savannah, Tennessee; three aunts, Ms Johnie Murrell of Louisville, Kentucky, Ms. Ann E. Webb and Ms. Carrie L. Bell, both of Coco Beach, Florida; two brothers-in-law, J. C. Brasher of Bath Springs, Tennessee and Tony Harris of Jackson Tennessee; four nieces, ten nephews, a host of great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Clara Haynes Bailey; grandmothers, Myrtle Bailey and Carrie Bowden Bell; an uncle, Harry Bell; a niece, Patty Taylor; a brother-in-law, Joey Harris; and a sister-in-law, Diarie Jackson.
Death leaves a heartache no one can heal; love leaves a memory no one can steal.
