SUSAN FRAZIER DAVIS
Henderson, TN: Susan Azelee Frazier Davis age 94 passed away Friday, September 27, 2019 at her home.
She was born December 27, 1924 in Cooter, MO, the daughter of the later Louis Mathis and Georgia Lee Polk Frazier. She attended school in Cooter, MO, and graduated Cooter High School in 1943. She was married to Raymond Davis in 1944. They made their home in Blytheville, AR until they moved to Henderson in 1960. They owned and operated Hwy. 45 Gulf Station and then the Queen’s Cup. She worked for Hugh’s Tackle Box until her retirement in 1998. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Henderson, and a member of the Winsome Sunday School Class. Mrs. Davis was very active and supportive of Community activities and events.
Mrs. Davis is survived by three daughters, Judy Hughes, Jan Robertson (Donnie) and Jeri Harris all of Henderson; a son, Louis Davis (Hilde) of Geneva, Switzerland; fifteen grandchildren; thirty-three great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren and two more on the way; two sisters, Doris Barber of Wellington, Kansas and Billie Jones of Cape Girardeau, MO ; and a very special friend Bessie Harris.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Raymond T. Davis, January 2010 and two brothers, Joe Frazier and James Frazier.
In Lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Gideons International or the First Baptist Church of Henderson.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday, September 30, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue. Burial will follow in Maggie Jones Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue on Sunday, September 29, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
