SURVILLA SULLIVANwas born in Hardin County, Tennessee on June 17, 1911 the daughter of the late Allen Lafayette and Carrie Matilda Worley Hicks.In 1933 she was united in marriage to James Cranston Sullivan, who preceded his wife in death on August 9, 1965.Mrs. Sullivan worked for 35 years as a top stitcher for Brown Shoe Company. She was a teacher for Blounts School in Holland's Creek and was a cook for Nixon School for 2 years. Mrs. Sullivan was a member of Pyburn Union Church, where she was co-founder and a Sunday School teacher. She enjoyed gardening and cooking.Mrs. Sullivan departed this life on September 30, 2007 at the Hardin Medical Center in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 96 years, 3 months and 13 days.She is survived by 2 daughters, Patricia Aldridge of Rochester, New York and Nina Cogan of Kansas City, Missouri.3 grandchildren, Cheryl Schang, Aletha Lander and Joel Cogan4 great-grandchildren, Cheri Rigby, David Lander, Laura Lander and McKenzie Cogan.Mrs. Sullivan was also preceded in death by 2 sisters, Nestle Williams and Elsie Morris amd one brother, Grady Hicks.
