Sue (Mama Sue) Tidwell Wood was born June 13, 1939 in McNairy County, Tennessee the daughter of the late Hurley and Margaret Palmer Tidwell.
She was united in marriage to Henry Frank Landreth, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Wood was employed as a property manager for Epstein Enterprises in Memphis, where she worked for more than 30 years. She also worked briefly for Garan Sportswear in Adamsville and Brown Shoe Company in Selmer, and for Guardsmark in Memphis as a security guard. Mrs. Wood enjoyed dancing, fishing, gardening, and taking trips to Tunica. Her greatest love was her family and friends; she always put others before herself, even to the point of sacrifice. She was a member of the Mars Hill church of Christ in the Leapwood community.
Mrs. Wood departed this life on November 18, 2010 in Phoenix, Arizona at the age of 71 Years, 5 Months, 5 Days. She is survived by two daughters, Peggy Jean Barks of West Memphis, AR and Donna Kay Landreth (Wayne Finger) of Memphis, TN; two sons, Billy Wayne Landreth (Wanda) of Arlington, TN and Tony Ray Landreth (June Arthur) of Memphis, TN; six grandchildren: Pamela Sue Gray, Michael Landreth, Tyrome Landreth, Randy Strickland, Christopher Sentman, and Anthony Arthur; four great-grandchildren: Brittany Taylor, Destinee Landreth, Braden Arthur, and Tyler Landreth; three brothers: Kenneth Tidwell (Susie) of Moscow, TN, Larry Tidwell of Joliet, IL, and David Tidwell of Adamsville, TN; companion Joseph Brazil of Memphis, TN; and many extended family and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Wood was preceded in death by a grandchild, Josh Landreth, and a brother, James Tidwell.
