SUE MORRISON PLUNK
Henderson, TN: Sue Nell Morrison Plunk, age 91, passed away August 6, 2017 at her home in the Montezuma Community.
She was born October 25, 1925 in the Chickasaw State Park area and grew up at Hickory Corner, the daughter of the late Alvin Louis and Willie Gladys Maness Morrison. She went to school at Owens and Hickory Corner, where she played basketball. She married Claudie Harvel Plunk, December 24, 1946 and they made their home at Montezuma. She worked several years at Salant & Salant Mfg.
She was a member of the Cave Springs Baptist Church and a member of the Chester County Senior Citizens.
She loved going to church, taking sight-seeing trips, going to the Senior Citizen Center and spending time with her family.
Mrs. Plunk is survived by a son, James Edward ‘Jim’ Plunk and wife Linda of Henderson; two daughters, Barbara Johnson and husband Buddy and Beverly Morton and husband Eddie all of Henderson; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Jane Morrison Larson of Arlington and Mae Morrison Sasser of Marion, AR.
The family wishes to pay tribute to her three faithful caregivers, Virginia (Jinger) Hall, Linda Clark and Barbara Ann Jackson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Claudie Plunk and two brothers, James Morrison and William Morrison.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Ronnie Geary officiating. Burial will follow in Chester County Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday.
