Henderson: Carol Sue Honaker Malone, age 79, died at her home Saturday morning.
She was born in War, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Vernie ‘Pete’ and Mary Beth Marrs Honaker. She moved to Harman, Virginia at the age of 5. She married Donald Ray Malone, Sr. June 11, 1958. Mrs. Malone was a homemaker. Mr. Malone died in 2014.
She is survived by a son Donald Ray Malone, Jr. of Henderson, a granddaughter Kassie Malone and four sisters; Jo Ann Simmons of Richmond, VA, Beatrice Riger (Russ) of Clarkston, MI, Pat St. John (Dave) of Mechanicsville, VA and Francis Hobbs (Bill) of Virginia Beach, VA and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a son Ronald Keith Malone in 2010 and a brother Donald Harold Honaker and a sister Betty June Honaker Malone.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Bro. Ronnie Geary officiating. Burial will follow at Cave Springs Cemetery
The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday.
