Mrs. Garrett passed from this life Tuesday morning at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis.
The widow of William E. 'Bill' Garrett, Sr., who died on May 8, 2008 after 61 years of marriage, she was the co-owner with her husband and son and office manager of Superior Plumbing and Heating in Bolivar for 49 years. She was born to James Franklin Wilson and Ladessa Mae Kell Wilson and lived most of her life in Bolivar. An avid bridge player, she had also served as a den mother for the Cub Scouts and was a member of Bolivar First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Suzanne G. and David Rhea of Bolivar; a son and his wife, Bill, Jr. and Adele Garrett of Bolivar; a brother, Harry Wilson of Davis, California; and five grandchildren, Catherine, Taylor, Libera and Will Garrett and Payton Rhea. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son, Mark Wilson Garrett in 1998 and a brother, Jimmy Wilson.
