Stevie Jane Overton

Mrs. Overton departed this life Saturday morning, April 27, 2013 at NHC Healthcare in Somerville.
The widow of Lucas R. Overton, who died on July 31, 1989, she was a homemaker and had also worked with her husband at Overton Feed Store on Highway 51 South in Memphis as the secretary. She was born February 19, 1922 in Hardeman County, daughter of the late Relder and Beulah Myrtle Pippen Pirtle and had lived in Memphis most of her life. She and her husband moved back to Bolivar in 1987. Mrs. Overton was a member of Bolivar First Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Dianne Sipes of Bolivar; two grandchildren, Ben Sipes of Bolivar and Lisa Sipes of Indonesia; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, whom she married on April 3, 1939, and her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Bennie Pirtle.
