Funeral services for Steven Mark Petty, age 47, Iron City, TN will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at Shackelford Chapel in Collinwood, TN with H.H. Hurst and Jerry Robbins officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Gardens with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.



Visitation will be Tuesday, April 22, 2008 from 5:00-9:00 pm and Wednesday, April 23, 2008 from 10:00 am until service time at Shackelford Funeral Home in Collinwood, TN.



Steve, a native of Waynesboro, TN, died Sunday, April 20, 2008 at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia, TN. He was a grandson of the late Leonard and Lorene Vencion and Bud Hardin and Climmie Petty. Steve formerly worked at Jimmy Dean Foods in Florence, AL and was presently employed by Tennessee Department of Transportation as a highway maintenance worker. He was of the Baptist faith. Steve never met a stranger and was a friend to all. Steve we are all so blessed and thankful to have had you in our lives. We only hope we can go through life with as much love in our hearts as you did. You will always be with us every hour of every day.



He is survived by his wife, Anita Brewer Petty of Iron City, TN; mother, Virginia Vencion Cate of Waynesboro, TN and his father and step-mother, Bunda and Emma Petty of Waynesboro, TN; brother, Darrell and his wife Kim Petty of Waynesboro, TN; sisters, Debbie and her husband Calvin Prayter of Murfreesboro, TN, and Judy and her husband, Timmy Arthur of Lewisburg, TN; nieces and nephews, John Keener, Greg Keener, Grant Finley, Whitney Daughrity, Morgan Hubbard, Annaka Petty, Faith Petty, Hunter Petty, Marsha Staggs, Jason Hunt, Kendra Walker, and Jake Brewer.
