Services for Steven Alan Lauderdale, age 52, Waynesboro, TN will be 11:00 am Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at Shackelford Chapel in Waynesboro with Casey Jones and Gerald Skelton officiating. Interment will follow in Lutts Cemetery in Lutts, TN with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County in charge.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 6, 2007 from 5:00-9:00 pm and Wednesday, March 7, 2007 from 8:00 am until service time at Shackelford Funeral Home in Waynesboro, TN.
Mr. Lauderdale was born in Toledo, Ohio. He died Sunday, March 4, 2007 at his home in Waynesboro. He is the son of Virginia Amerson Lauderdale of Elkmont, Alabama and the late Carl Rufus Lauderdale. He was the grandson of the late Rex and Ada Lauderdale and Elijah and Mary Ruth Amerson. He served in the U.S. Army special forces and was a disabled construction worker at TVA Browns Ferry Nuclear Power Plant. He was a member of Local 366 in Sheffield, AL and a member of Elkmont Church of Christ. He was a supporter of Waynesboro Dixie Youth.
Survivors other than his mother include his wife, Libby Harris Lauderdale; son, Steven Wesley Lauderdale, and a daughter, Mendy Lynn Lauderdale Dickey and her husband Patrick; granddaughter, Autumn Rae Dickey all of Waynesboro; brothers, Dwight Lauderdale and his wife Barbara of Jacksonville, FL, Stanley Lauderdale and his wife Janie, and a sister, Annette Powers and her husband Curtis all of Elkmont, AL.
