Steve Dewayne (Tojoe) Qualls, Jr.
was born in Jackson, Tennessee on March 1, 1986 the son of Steve Dewayne, Sr. and Virginia Lee Franks Qualls.
On May 23, 2005 he was united in marriage to the former Jessica Renee Shelby, who survives. Mr. Qualls worked as a mechanic with Oil Express and had also worked at Mark Roach Sawmill. He attended New Life Pentecostal Church. Mr. Qualls loved his babies, Bentley and Cailyn, and also loved hunting, 4-wheeler riding and the military.
He departed this life on January 5, 2007 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 20 years, 10 months and 4 days.
Mr. Qualls is survived by his wife, Jessica Renee Shelby Qualls of Savannah, Tennessee;
two daughters: Bentley LaShawn Qualls and Cailyn Ruth Qualls, both of Savannah;
his parents, Steve Dewayne Qualls, Sr. and Virginia Lee Franks Qualls, of Savannah;
a sister, Latisha LaShawn Qualls Bledsoe of Savnnah;
his grandparents: Freeman and Mable Franks of Savannah and Shirley Powell of Savannah; and a great-grandmother, Stella Tilley, also of Savannah, Tennessee.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Larry Qualls; a great-grandmother, Elsie Hill and his great-grandfathers: George Franks and James Tilley.
