Funeral services for Sterlin Jestice Reeves, age 96 of Fairview Community will be on Monday August 7, 2006 1:00 pm at Fairview Church of Christ with Cyrus Quillen and Sonny Bogus officiating. Interment following in Whitten’s Crossroads Cemetery , Iron City with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be on Sunday August 6 from 5:00-8:00 pm at Shackelford Funeral Home, Collinwood. Mr. Reeves will lie in state 1 hour prior to service at the church.
Sterlin Jestice Reeves a native of Wayne County, TN died on Friday August 4, 2006 at Wayne County Nursing Home, Waynesboro. Mr. Reeves was born on August 22, 1909 to the late Madison and Satiza Wilson Reeves. He was the brother of the late Courtland Reeves; son in law of the late George H. and Bonnie Phillips Olive.
Mr. Reeves was a farmer and retired truck driver for the State of Tennessee. He was a member of the Church of Christ and served his country in the United States Army during World War II.
