Stephen Wayne Cox, beloved husband and dedicated public servant, passed away on December 27, 2024, in Jackson, Tennessee. He was born on October 25, 1966, in Aurora, Colorado, to Orland Tolstoy Cox, Jr. and Patricia Wyatt Cox, who both preceded him in death.
Stephen had a commendable career serving as a city policeman in Whiteville and Bolivar, and also in McNairy County with the Selmer Police Department, prior to becoming disabled. His dedication to law enforcement was a testament to his commitment to the safety and well-being of his community.
He also proudly served his country in the United States Navy for a short time, reflecting his deep sense of duty. Outside of his professional endeavors, Stephen found joy in playing video games and cherished his love for cats, which brought comfort and companionship to his life.
Stephen leaves behind his loving wife, Morrisa L. Cox of Jackson, whom he married on April 30, 2005, who will remember him fondly for his kindness and spirited nature. His legacy as a devoted husband, public servant, and friend will continue to resonate within the community and the hearts of all who knew him.
