Sidney Allen Poag

Sidney Allen Poag was born June 13, 1931 in Tate County, Mississippi the son of the late Joseph Samuel and Lorena Pardue Poag.He was united in marriage to Jean Holden on October 11, 1947.Mr. Poag was a truck driver for Aqua Glass Corporation . He was a member of the Finger Church of Christ in Finger, Tennessee. He never met a stranger, loved to be around and play with children. During his illness, he never lost his sense of humor, was always upbeat, and even when hurting he had a smile on his face.Mr. Poag departed this life on January 12, 2008 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 76 Years, 6 Months, 30 Days.He is survived by his wife of 60 years Jean Poag of Finger, TN; two daughters, Sherry Jean Maggard and husband Randy of Chelsea, OK, and Carla Denise Ciniglio and husband Albert of Jackson, TN; daughter-in-law, Debbie France Poag of Sacramento, CA; a son, William Allen Poag and wife Denise of Finger, TN; one sister, Hazel Poag Culver of Coldwater, MS; three sister-in-laws, Nell Lentz of Coldwater, MS, Lucy Holdeng of Senatobia, MS, and Sara Poag of Coldwater, MS; a brother, Joe M. Poag of Coldwater, MS; 8 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Poag was preceded in death by a son, John Sidney Poag; one sister and three brothers.
