Shirley Jane Wright

Shirley Jane Daniel Wright was born on January 30, 1938 in Waynesboro, TN the daughter of the late Harvey and Clara Mae Brewer Daniel. She was united in marriage to Robert D. Wright Sr. on December 19, 1954 and he preceded her in death on May 26, 2015. Mrs. Wright retired as a seamstress from Angelica Manufacturing Company and was a member of the Piney Grove Freewill Baptist Church in Cypress Inn, TN. Mrs. Wright departed this life on January 18, 2022 in Columbia, Tennessee at the age of 83 years, 11 months, and 19 days.

She is survived by a son, Robert D. Wright Jr. of Collinwood, TN; two daughters, Teresa (Wright) Spence of Lewisburg, TN, Patricia Dianne (Wright) Weeks and husband Coy of Iron City, TN; eight grandchildren, Jason Wright, Jessica Brown and husband Caleb, Jacob Wright and wife Kelsey, Amanda W. Burks and husband Jared, Courtney Butler and husband Wesley, Joshua Spence and wife Ashton, Jonathan Spence and wife Caroline, and K.B. (Spence) Trout and husband Tyler; and fifteen great grandchildren, Brayson Wright, Brinklee Wright, Maddie Brown, Cooper Burks, Hudson Burks, Eliza Jane Johnston, Norah Chapel Butler, Whit Butler, Beau Spence, Tucker Spence, Henry Spence, Quinn Spence, Eleanor Spence, Griff Spence, and Judd Trout and a brother Bobby Ray Daniel of Collinwood, TN.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Wright was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Dan Spence; five brothers, Jeffie Daniel, Gene Daniel, Willie Daniel, Ronald Pete Daniel, and Donnie Daniel; and three sisters, Ruby Thompson, Lina Butler, and Frances Martin.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 21, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday, January 22, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. service time at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Collinwood, TN.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Collinwood, TN. Burial will follow in the Piney Grove Cemetery at Cypress Inn, TN with Stephen Stults officiating. Shackelford Funeral Directors assisting the family.
