Shirley Long Ward

November 13, 1941 — January 18, 2020

Shirley Long Ward entered into the presence of her Savior Jesus on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at the Baptist memorial Hospital in memphis, TN.

Shirley is survived by a daughter, Kimsey LaRue (Mark); grandsons, Taylor, Tim and Trenton LaRue; brothers, Billy Long (Cherry) and Harland Long both of Griffin, GA; sister, Jane Bennett (Joe) of Valrico, FL; many nieces, nephews and a host of friends who loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Cardell Long; brothers, Bobby Long, Sidney Long, Jerry Long; sisters, Evelyn jones, Jimmie Higgins, Mary Beighton and June Thomas.

Shirley was born on November 13, 1941 in Covington, GA. She married Benjamin Ward on November 12, 1966. All of her family and friends affectionately called her "Memom". She was a member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church in Bethel Springs
