Shirley Smith

Shirley Smith was born on August 16, 1934 in Corinth, Mississippi, the daughter of the late Wesley Stephenson and Ava Pauline Jordan Ross.

Shirley was a retired accountant and worked for Ripley Industries and UMIC Bank. She loved to ballroom dance and was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church in Savannah, Tennessee.

Shirley Smith departed this life on May 6, 2021 in Sardis, Tennessee at the age of 86 years, 8 months, and 20 days.

She is survived by her sons, Steve Smith, Ronnie Smith, and Alan Smith; daughter, Karen Preston; sisters, Angie Stroud and Jackie Holcomb; grandchildren, Tina Martin, Jodi Powell, Amanda Clements, Scott Smith, Chris Smith, Cody Smith, Billy Williams, Brian Williams, Jessica Adducci, and Robert Brumfield; 21 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren.

The family requests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
