Shirley A. Powell

Shirley A. Powellwas born in Hardin County, Tennessee on April 20, 1944 the daughter of Stella Mae Benson Tilley and the late James Bob Tilley.Ms. Powell was a former resident of Burnsville, Mississippi. She enjoyed cooking and sewing. She was of Baptist belief.Ms. Powell departed this life on Friday, May 21, 2010 at the age of 66 years, 1 month, 1 day.In addition to her mother, she is survived by her daughter, Teresa J. Osteen of Savannah, Tennessee; a son, Stevie Dewayne Qualls of Savannah, Tennessee; 7 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, James Bobby (J.B.) Tilley of Savannah, Tennessee, Herschel Lee Tilley and Johnny Richard Tilley both of Bethel Springs, Tennessee; 3 sisters, Wanda Faye Steely of Savannah, Tennessee, Glona Jo Highlander of Burnsville, Mississippi, and Mary Frances Tilley of Calhoun, Georgia.In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Qualls White; a brother, Herby Gene Tilley; a grandson, Stevie Dewayne Qualls, Jr.
