Shirley Lowrance, 64, of Bolivar, died Monday, February 7, 2005 at
Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
The wife of D. C. Lowrance, who survives, she was a homemaker.
Mrs. Lowrance was born December 25, 1940 in Madison County,
Tenn., daughter of the late Benton and Annie Lewis Yarbrough and
had lived in Bolivar since 1960. She worked at Kilgore from 1960
to 1972 and was a member of the Bolivar Church of God.
Services were 2 pm Wednesday, February 9 at Bolivar Church of
God with Marvin Woods and Aaron Moss officiating. Burial was in
Maple Springs Cemetery near Mercer. Shackelford Funeral
Directors of Bolivar were in charge of arrangements.
In addition to her husband, whom she married December 31, 1969,
survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Smith of Bolivar and
Lynne Boyd of Adamsville; two sons, Wallace Lowrance of Bolivar
and Terry Childers of Hornsby; three sisters, Ann Cox of Cloverport, Jannie Stanfield of Selmer and Fannie Baldwin of Memphis and four grandchildren, Terry Lowrance, Jennifer Boyd, Madison White and Autum Childers. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy Bob and Felix Yarbrough.
