SHIRLEY HINSON
Henderson, TN: Shirley Faye Pickett Hinson, age 88 passed away June 17, 2024 at her home in the Glendale Community of Henderson.
She was born February 23, 1936 in and raised in the Sweet Lips Community, the daughter of the late Sid Pickett and Exie Gatley Pickett.
She attended schools in Chester County and graduated from Chester County High School in 1955. She was married to Neal Hinson on July 10, 1954. They made their home in the Glendale Community.
She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, sister, and beloved “Mamo” to her family and the many bonus families and friends she met during her life and involvement with her husband’s Ministry. She loved her farming, flowers and vegetable gardening. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and caring for her home and family.
She is survived by her three children, Annette Johnson, Connie (Gary) Barnes and Michael Hinson all of Henderson, six grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. A brother, Harold Pickett and four sisters, Lequita Wylie, Shelby (Sonny) Jones, Virginia (Charles) McEarl and Brenda Smith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a brother, Larry Pickett and two sisters, Geraldine Henderson and Patricia McEarl.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Wednesday, June 19th at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Bro. Keith Carlson officiating. Burial will follow at Unity Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday.
