Shirley DeVore Doran

Shirley DeVore Doran was born on April 8, 1938 in Savannah, Tennessee, the daughter of the late William R. and Edna Earl Culver DeVore.

On November 15, 1974, she was united in marriage to Monte Eugene Doran, who preceded his wife in death on January 31, 2017.

Shirley worked in production for Brown Shoe Company. She loved to work in her yard and take care of her roses and other flowers.

Shirley DeVore Doran departed this life on September 28, 2024 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 86 years, 5 months, and 20 days.

She is survived by her daughter, Carla Alexander of Savannah, Tennessee; son, Jason Doran of Savannah, Tennessee; sisters, Doris Lineberry and Carolyn Balentine, both of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Eric Alexander, Misty Stricklin Franks, Monica Stanfill, Corey Craig, Colby Craig, Casey Craig, Kendall Doran, and Kaylie Doran; great grandchildren, Rachel Franks, Hannah Franks, Caleb Franks, Tinsley Craig, Mackenzie Craig, Cooper Craig, Mackenzie Stanfill, Carter Stanfill, Ayden Alexander, and Mia Alexander; and great great grandson, Malachi Smith.

In addition to her parents and husband, Shirley was preceded in death by her son, Robert Earl Alexander and brothers, James Ray DeVore and Billy Jack DeVore.
