Shirley Brown Dalton

Shirley Martin Brown Dalton of Waynesboro, TN was born January 11, 1946 in Waynesboro, TN, the daughter of the late James W. and Roxie York Martin. She was united in marriage to Charles E. Brown, Jr. on October 1, 1966 and he preceded her in death on March 20, 1980.

Ms Dalton was an accountant and owner and operator of Barlow One Stop for 30 years and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Waynesboro, Tennessee.

She departed this life on Friday, June 10, 2022 at her home at the age of 76 years, 4 months and 30 days.

She is survived by her daughters, Kristy Brown Tucker, husband, Robbie of Linden, TN and Karen Brown Skelton, husband, Ronnie of Waynesboro, TN; her grandchildren, Brandon Hickerson, companion, Hanna, Chassidy Todd, husband, Jonathan, Cessaley Davis, husband, Cameron, Hayleigh Skelton, Sydney Stewart, husband, Aaron and Hayley Byrd, husband, Brad; great-grandchildren, Creed and Courtlyn Davis, Jaxon Todd, Bodie Stewart, Neely Hickerson, Leighton Bumphus and Taylor Byrd and sisters, Helen Fincher of Lawrenceburg, TN and Carolyn Granger of Arlington, TX.

In addition to her husband and parents, Ms Dalton was preceded in death by
her birth mother, Marjorie Price Fleenor and her brother, Elbert Price.

Services will be Sunday, June 12, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Kerry Franks officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens, Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors assisting the family. Visitation will be Sunday, June 12, 2022 from 11 am to service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Skelton, Robbie Tucker, Cameron Davis, Brandon Hickerson, Jonathan Todd and Billy Joe Martin. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Volunteer Home Health Care in Waynesboro, TN and members of Caris Hospice Group of Columbia, TN.
