Shirley Ruth Barnett

Shirley Ruth Barnett was born February 8, 1939 in Waynesboro, TN the daughter of Joseph Oliver "J.O." and Cora Elizabeth Risner Barnett. Miss Barnett was a Compliance Officer for the TN Department of Transportation, a TN Funeral Director, Former co-owner of Middle TN Funeral Home and Memory Gardens in Waynesboro and Collinwood, TN. Miss Barnett was a member of the Belmont Heights Baptist Church. She departed this life on December 1, 2022 in Cleveland, TN at the age of 83 years..

She is survived by daughters, Tina Bunting of Waynesboro, TN, and Sheila Wilson (Greg) of Georgetown, TN; grandchildren, Kristen Denise Landers (Samuel Antonio Torres Jr.), Tyler Neal Wilson, and Sara Nicole Wilson; great grandchildren, Madison Taylor Landers, Audrey Kristiana Torres, and Gavin Ayden Kash Torres; niece, Darlene Clendenon; great nephew, Kyle Clendenon; and great nieces, Callie Hargrove (Tyler), and Kati Faith Turnbo.

In addition to her parents, Miss Barnett is preceded in death by a daughter, Sherry Jean Allen; grandson, Jonathan Lee Landers; sisters, Rebecca Lou Turnbo, Peggy Barnett, and Ingetta Barnett; and nephew, Kevin Turnbo.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 4, 2022 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm. The Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 pm at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Waynesboro, TN, with Mickey Brackin officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens in Waynesboro, TN.

Pallbearers will be as follows: Edwin Barnett, Gary Barnett, Phillip Barnett, Rick Barnett, Russell Barnett, Samuel Torres, and Tyler Wilson.
