Sherry Ann Street Edmonds, 56, of Tickfaw, LA, formerly of Middleton, died Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at her home.
The wife of Dr. J. Daniel Edmonds, she was both high school English teacher and homemaker. Mrs. Edmonds was born June 27, 1949 in Tippah County, Miss., daughter of the late Victor Perrin Street and Sybil Dean Kennamore Street and had lived in Middleton and Memphis before making her home in Tickfaw in 1979. She graduated from Walnut High School in 1967 and Magna Cum Laude from Blue Mountain College in 1971. Mrs. Edmonds received her Master of Education Degree from the University of MS and taught English for a time at Middleton High School. She was a member of Tiplersville Baptist Church.
Graveside services are 1:00 PM Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at Middleton City Cemetery. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Bolivar were in charge of arrangements.
In addition to her husband, whom she married in 1975, survivors include one daughter, Jeanette Edmonds-Ellis of Hammond, LA and one sister, Vicki Street Edwards of Blue Mountain, MS.
