Funeral services for Shelba J. Fairies, age 55, Florence will be 11:00 am Friday, November 17, 2006 at Pine Hill Church of Christ with L.D. Willis

and Wayne Wood officiating. Interment following in Pine Hill Cemetery

with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge. Visitation will be at Pine Hill Church of Christ on Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 pm.



Nephews will serve as pallbearers.



Shelba, a native of Lauderdale County, died Tuesday, November 14, 2006 at Mitchell Hollingsworth. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cleo and Gertie Faires; brother, Eddie Faires and sister, Sharon Faires.

Shelba attended Pine Hill Church of Chris. She loved her Bible and her cats.



Survivors include brothers and their wives; Granville and Sandra Faires of Lexington, AL, Freddie and Jeanett Faires and Glen and Ann Faires all of Cypress Inn, TN, Clyde and Linda Faires and Gary and Shelia Faires all of Florence, AL.

Sisters and their husbands; Quava and Andy Akins, Jewel and Robert Bain, and Sue and Leo Melton all of Florence, AL, Rachel and Danny Goza of Dennis, MS, and a host of nieces and nephews.



Her sisters took care of Shelba for 71/2 years before going to Mitchell Hollingsworth Care Center.



Family wishes to thank Pine Hill congregation who loved Shelba, to station 5 at Mitchell Hollingsworth and the staff and all the nurses that took good care of Shelba, and to Dr. McFall, Dr. Wilson, and Dr. Aldrige.



In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pine Hill Cemetery Fund.
