Sheila Collins was born July 30, 1960 in Selmer, TN, the daughter of the late W. B. Hubanks and Mary Nell Hubanks. She entered the sacred bond of marriage with Michael Collins on November 2, 2007.
Sheila was a vibrant presence in the lives of those who knew her. She thrived on connection, often engaging with friends on Facebook, where her cheerful spirit shone brightly. Her love for nature was evident in her fondness for flowers (many of her flowers were passed down from her mother), while her cooking brought delight to many gatherings.
An animal lover at heart, Sheila shared her life with her beloved dogs. She particularly enjoyed rides through the countryside. Her love for collecting trinkets was not just a hobby; it was a reflection of her appreciation for the little things that brought a smile to her face.
With a big heart and a generous spirit, Sheila made an indelible mark on those who were fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy of love and giving will remain in the hearts of many. She leaves behind a legacy woven with love and kindness.
Sheila departed this life on January 6, 2025 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 64 Years, 5 Months, 7 Days.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Collins of Selmer, TN; daughter, Lori Plunk of Florence, AL; step daughter, Rebecca Valencia and husband, Oscar of Arlington, TN; two sisters, Donna Hubanks of Tuscumbia, AL, Patricia Matlock and husband Jerry of Selmer, TN; six grandchildren: Hannah Isbell, Briley Isbell, Gage Colio, Sladen Colio, Asher Colio, Roman Valencia; and a host of other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Collins was preceded in death by a son, Grant Isbell; two brothers, Larry Hubanks and wife Judy, Bobby Hubanks and wife Alice.
A private viewing was held and a memorial service will be held in the Spring of 2025.
