Sheila Ann Carnell

Sheila Ann Carnell, born on November 2, 1964, in Memphis, TN, was the beloved daughter of the late Billy Wayne and Peggy Ann Smith Dodd. Her warm spirit and loving heart touched everyone around her.

On February 14, 2019, Sheila was united in marriage to Robert (Joey) Carnell. Together, they created a home filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Sheila’s kindness and nurturing nature were evident to all who knew her, especially in her role as a mother and grandmother. Her devotion to her family knew no bounds, and she found immense joy in caring for her children and seven grandchildren.

Sheila dedicated her professional life to caregiving at Cornerstone Health and Rehab in Corinth, MS, where she approached each day with compassion and a deep sense of duty. Her patients were treated just like a family member, always ensuring their needs were met with tenderness and respect.

Sheila departed this life on November 21, 2024, in Lexington, Tennessee, at the age of 60. She is survived by her husband, Robert (Joey) Carnell of Bethel Springs, TN; a daughter, Kendra Paige Henley and husband Dj of Pinson, TN; a son, Michael Allen (Jr) Culp and wife Brittany of Bethel Springs, TN; 7 Grandchildren; two sisters, Martha Campbell and husband Rickey of Somerville, TN, Betty Jo Rhodes and husband Ronnie of Henderson, TN; a brother-in-law, Johnny Bain of Bethel Springs, TN; 2 nephews and one niece; and a host of extended family and friends.

Sheila was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Linda Bain. As we remember Sheila, we celebrate her generous spirit and the countless lives she touched with her love and care. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

At Shelia's request there will be a private family service.
