Sgt. Dustin Matthew Adkins

He was born in Jackson, Tennessee and grew up in Henderson, the son of Richard Adkins and Karen Lynn Jones Scudder. He attended school in Chester County and graduated Gateway Academy. He enlisted in the U.S. Army, May 28, 2003, and served his basic training in Fort Leonard Wood, MO and his advanced individual training at Fort Sam Houston, TX. He attended Air Base School at Fort Benning, GA and was stationed at Fort Campbell, KY with the Fifth Special Forces Group. He was currently serving his second tour of duty in Iraq.



He was married to Tiffany Howell November 4, 2003. He was a member of the Old Friendship Baptist Church.



He is survived by his wife Tiffany Renee Howell Adkins; a son Matthew Vincent Adkins age 3 and a daughter Atlanta Claire Adkins age 2; his father Richard Adkins of Henderson and his mother Karen Lynn Jones Scudder of Finger; a brother Staff Sgt. Nicholas Alan Adkins of Clarksville; a sister Crystal Gayle Adkins Webb and her husband Sgt. Jason Webb; grandmother, Mayrine Adkins and the late Woodrow Adkins and the late Bill and Mary Jones; a great grandmother, Norma Dickson of Finger; stepfather, Rickey Scudder of Finger; a stepbrother Michael Scudder and a stepsister Nikki Scudder.
