Selby A. Murray
was born in Eddyville, Kentucky on May 16, 1931 the son of the late Ollie Areadus and Etta Mae Taylor Murray.
Mr. Murray was a veteran of the U.S Navy and received an honorable discharge. On February 11, 1961 he was united in marriage to the former Dorothy Freeman, who survives. Mr. Murray retired as a Lock Master with the Corp. of Engineers. He was a member of Woodson Chapel Church. Mr. Murray was also a Mason, a Shriner and a member of the Eastern Star.
He departed this life on February 8, 2007 at Hardin Medical Center in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 75 years, 8 months and 23 days.
Mr. Murray is survived by his wife, Dorothy Freeman Murray of Savannah, Tennessee;
seven nieces and two nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Virginia Ferguson and three brothers: William (Champ) Murray, Kelsey Coleman Murray and Reese Murray.
