Scott Buren Baker, III was born on March 14, 1948 in South Carolina, the son of the late Scott Buren Baker II and Lucille Chandler Baker Nowlan
Scott honorably served his country in the United States Army. He worked as an air conditioner installer and technician for Carrier Air Conditioning and Heating. Scott enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to Florida, working with cows and horses, gardening, and love to shop. His family and friends will remember him as a jokester who loved to make others smile.
Scott Buren Baker, III departed this life on January 13, 2022 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 73 years, 9 months, and 30 days.
He is survived by his daughters, Shelia Guiveal of North Carolina, Lisa Baker of South Carolina, Karen Denise Baker of Texas, Judith Arata of Texas, and Jennifer Baker of Texas; son, Scott Buren Baker IV of Texas; sister, Geraldine Spence of Florida; brother, Garland Baker of South Carolina; 15 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and his favorite dog, Sarah.
In addition to his parents, Scott was preceded in death by his infant son, George Baker; brother, L. T. Baker; and 2 grandchildren.
