It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sarah J. Taylor, a beloved soul who graced this world with her presence on February 2, 1942, in McNairy County, TN. She was the daughter of the late Albin Tracy and Mary Belle Tedford Carpenter.
In September of 1986, Sarah joined her life in marriage to Will Tom Taylor, a union filled with love and devotion. Sarah's journey led her down various paths, including dedicated service at Brown Shoe Company and later at Kolpak until her well-deserved retirement. She found joy in simple pleasures like working on crossword puzzles, listening to gospel music, taking peaceful rides through Shiloh National Park to admire the deer and loved a good cup of coffee.
Mrs. Taylor peacefully departed this life on June 21, 2024, in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 82 Years, 4 Months, and 19 Days. Cherishing her memory are those who held a special place in her heart: her loving husband, Tom Taylor of Selmer, TN; three sons - Jeff Nixon (Heather) of Counce, TN; Steve Nixon and his wife Vickie of Bethel Springs, TN; Jeff Taylor and his wife Amanda of Eastview, TN; three daughters - Tammy Northcutt and her husband Tracy of Selmer, TN; Jennifer Calhoun and her husband Tim of Fall Branch, TN; Jill Taylor of Jackson, TN; a brother Tim Carpenter from Selmer, TN.
Sarah's legacy continues through the lives she touched deeply - twelve grandchildren: Shane Nixon and his wife Jessie, Matthew Northcutt and his wife Jenna, Jacob Northcutt and his wife Jamie, Joshua Northcutt and his wife Melissa, Clay Taylor and his wife Adeline, Lena Taylor, Christian Calhoun, Zachary Calhoun, Leah Calhoun, Kearra Blue, Raven Toney, Brian Bargas and wife Renee; eight great-grandchildren: Edith Nixon; River Northcutt, Jackson Langenburg, David Limerick Taylor, Paul Emmett Taylor, Will Bargas, Case Bargas and Raegan Bargas, Cash and Carmen Lee.
In addition to her parents, Sarah was preceded by her brother, Jimmy Carpenter; sister, Jane Johnson; nephew, Ronnie Earl Carpenter.
Mrs. Taylor's legacy of love and family shines eternally in the hearts she touched along her beautiful journey. May she rest in peace as we hold onto cherished memories that will forever live on within us.
