Sarah Ann Richerson

Sarah Ann Richerson, 79, of Bolivar, departed this life Saturday morning, July 16, 2016, at her home.

A native of Hornsby, she was born at home on August 8, 1936 to Henry Jones Smith and Nancy Marie Crawford Smith and lived all of her life in Hardeman County. She worked in the office with the University of Tennessee Extension Service for over 50 years. She was an avid bird watcher and dearly loved her family. She was a member of Dixie Hills Baptist Church for 47 years and enjoyed going to church and being involved in church activities.

Survivors include a son, Henry Richerson (Chrystal) of Henderson; a sister, Girlene Richerson of Covington; a step brother, James "Jimmy" Baker of Hornsby; and 3 grandchildren, Emma Ann, Lillie Grace and Sadie Faith Richerson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a step sister, Mary Katherine Brown. The family requests memorial donations in Ms. Richerson's name be made to the Dixie Hills Baptist Church.
