SARAH HAYNES CARROLL
Was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on August 18, 1923 the daughter of the late James Floyd and Lucille Walker Haynes.
On December 31, 1950 she was united in marriage to Kirk M. (Billy) Carroll, who preceded his wife in death on August 2, 1984.
Mrs. Carroll was the retired owner of Welch Insurance Agency. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Carroll was a Girl Scout leader, Cub Scout leader and a member of Savannah Book Club. She was in many other church and civic activities through the years.
Mrs. Carroll departed this life on December 10, 2006 at the Hardin County Nursing Home in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 83 years, 3 months and 22 days.
She is survived by one daughter, Marty Carroll of Savannah, Tennessee and one son, Kirk Carroll of Savannah, Tennessee.
She was the loving grandmother of David, Sarah Ann, McKenzie, Ben, Molly and Carter.
Mrs. Carroll is survived by one sister Jennie Riddell of Savannah, Tennessee.
Mrs. Carroll was also preceded in death by one brother, James Walker Haynes and one sister, Nita Haynes Harrison.
