Sarah Elizabeth Sanders Boothe

June 14, 1959 — September 5, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sarah Elizabeth Sanders Boothe of Savannah, Tennessee on September 5, 2024. Born on June 14, 1959 in Memphis, Sarah was a daughter of P. Layton Sanders and Sarah Perkins Sanders, who preceded her in death. As a child, she attended Hutchison and Auburndale and later The Mills School in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. She graduated from ECS in Memphis and attended the University of Memphis.

Sarah was a one of a kind, tenderhearted person with a loving spirit. She loved spending time with her family, and she was dearly loved by everyone who knew her. Sarah was very much a bright spot, with a delightful sense of fun and a wonderful sense of humor; and she will be greatly missed.

She was the widow of William W. “Butch” Boothe. Survivors include her two sons, Will Boothe and Brennan Boothe, both of Portland, Oregon, a sister, Zemuly Ruth Sanders and a brother, Joseph Sanders, both of Memphis, a brother, Layton Sanders of New York City and a half-brother, Steve Harrison of St. Petersburg, Florida, and a niece and a nephew. She is also survived by a dear friend, Katie Witham of Counce, Tennessee.

A memorial service will take place on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 2:00pm at 1197 Yorkshire Drive, Memphis, Tennessee 38119.
