Sarah Jean Bishop

November 10, 1928 — March 30, 2010

Mrs. Bishop passed away Tuesday evening at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.



The wife of Drewey Davis Bishop, who survives, she was a homemaker. Mrs. Bishop was born in Grand Junction to the late James A. Martin and Mary Ellen Josephine Williams Martin and lived all of her life in Hardeman County. She was a member of Hickory Valley Baptist Church.



In addition to her husband, whom she married in 1948, she is survived by a son, David Bishop of Olive Branch, MS; a daughter, Carol Bishop of Hickory Valley; a brother, Joe Martin of Hickory Valley; and three grandchildren, Paul Alan Bishop, Aaron Davis Bishop, and Lindsey Marie Bishop. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Elizabeth Ferguson, Virginia Anderson, and Mabel Lax; and a brother, J.B. Martin.
