Sarah Jane Franks Andrews

Sarah Jane Franks Andrews of Waynesboro, Tennessee passed away after a lengthy illness on Wednesday July 20, 2022 at the Waynesboro Rehabilitation Center. Sarah was born October 3, 1940. She was the daughter of the late Dee and Esther Brewer Franks. She was united in marriage to William Dairl Andrews on October 3, 1959. Her faith and her family were the most important part of her well-lived life. She was a member of Green River Baptist Church. She worked at Angelica Corporation for 30 years until their closure and later with Wayne County Schools until her retirement. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Sarah is survived by her husband, Dairl, after sixty-two years of marriage and three daughters, Betty McCall and husband, Alan, Edna Andrews and Sheila Mathis and husband, Ronnie all of Waynesboro, Tennessee; 5 grandchildren, Samantha Kline (Matt) of Corinth, Mississippi, Zach Mathis (Maegan) of Cypress Inn, TN, Micah McCall of Waynesboro, Tennessee, Cassie Putman (Carson) of Florence, Alabama and Dawson Mathis of Columbia, Tennessee; two great-grandchildren, Emma and Jensen Kline of Corinth, Mississippi; one brother, Ted Franks (Emilie) of Waynesboro, Tennessee; one sister, Pam Roberson (David) of Collinwood, Tennessee and several nieces and nephews. Other than her parents, she is proceeded in death by a son, James William Andrews, nine sisters, two brothers, her grandparents and her mother and father-in-law. The family would like to thank Dr. Veeramachaneni (Dr. V), Sam, Kendra, the office staff, Wayne Medical Center, Scott’s HCH Rehabilitation and Waynesboro Health and Rehabilitation Center for the love and care you have shown our wife, mother, grandmother and grand-nana over the past several months. Funeral services will be held at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel in Waynesboro on Sunday, July 24, 2022 at 2 pm with Josh Franks and Kerry Franks officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens in Waynesboro. Pallbearers will be her grandsons and Corey Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be David Reagan, James Beckham and Bill Frey. Visitation will be Saturday, July 23, 2022 from 5:30 pm to 8 pm and Sunday, July 24, 2022 from 11 am until service time at the funeral home.
