SANDRA JONES MOODY
Jackson, TN: Sandra Gale Jones Moody age 70 passed away January 20, 2022 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
She was born April 5, 1951 in Henderson, TN the daughter of the late Buford Clemen and Alma Doye Robertson Jones. She grew up in Henderson and graduated from Chester County High School in 1969. She attended West Tennessee Business College in Jackson. She worked at the Electric Outlet in Jackson for twenty nine years, retiring in 2015.
She married Tyle Moody on July 19, 1980 and they made their home in Jackson.
She enjoyed traveling, reading and cruising. She loved her church, singing in the choir and being a Sunday school class teacher. She was a member of the North Jackson Baptist Church.
She most loved and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mrs. Moody is survived by her husband, Tyle Lee Moody of Jackson; a daughter, Marcie Elizabeth Smith (Mikey) of Medina; two grandchildren, Dyllan Walker, Baylee Smith; three great-grandchildren, Greyson, Hagen and Leighton; a brother, Lloyd Jones (Allison) of Lexington and two sisters, Freda Hopkins of Jackson and Janice Holland of Bethel Springs.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law, Gary Holland.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, January 23rd at Shackelford Funeral Directors – East Main Chapel with Pastor Bryant Newell and Pastor Opie Dodril officiating.
The family will receive friends at East Main Chapel 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Saturday and beginning at 12:00 noon on Sunday until service time. Burial will follow In Ridgecrest Cemetery in Jackson, TN.
