Sandra Kay Kelly

Mrs. Sandra Kay Kelly age 84, of Henderson, passed away March 28, 2025, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

She was born in Spearfish, SD on March 15, 1941, daughter of the late Herbert Oliver and Thelma Marie Burke Woodbury and grew up in Great Falls, Montana.

She was married to Edmon Kelly and they enjoyed 20 years of marriage together before his passing in December of 1998.

She was a registered nurse and worked for Jackson Madison County General Hospital as a Critical Care Nurse in the Cardiac Care Unit for about 20 years before retiring.

She had a Library of Science degree prior to her nursing career and after retirement she volunteered at the Jackson Madison County Library in the Tennessee Room, The Madison County Archives and The Hardeman County Archives. She also volunteered for the Chester County Meals on Wheels Program and at Gleaners.

She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, was a Master Gardener, loved quilting and was an avid reader.

She is survived by two sons Robert Charles Hadley (Trish) of Greenville, TN; Steven Wayne Hadley (CC) of Bolivar, TN; a daughter Robbyn Armstrong (Jerry) of Toone, TN; a sister Joni Hughes of El Cajon, CA; six grandchildren Austin Hadley, Whitney Freeman (Billy), Dylan Armstrong, Madison Armstrong, Andrew Hadley (Frances), and Williams Hadley; two great grandchildren Jaxon Freeman and Hadley Freeman and another great grandchild on the way.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Monday, March 31, 2025 at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Henderson - East Main Chapel with burial to follow in Old Friendship Cemetery in Finger.

The family will receive friends at East Main Chapel on Monday from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM Service time.
