Samuel Isaac Newborn

Samuel Isaac Newborn of Collinwood, TN, was born March 27, 1949 in Wayne County, TN, the son of the late Elmer and Ollie Mae Price Newborn. He was united in marriage to Shirley Marie Davis on October 30, 1971.
Mr. Newborn was a retired from Murray Ohio Manufacturing Company and was a member of the Church of Christ. He served in the United States Marines and was a member of the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Marie Davis Newborn of Collinwood, TN; two sons, Brian Newborn and wife, Rebecca of Iron City, TN and Brandon Newborn of Collinwood, TN; three grandchildren, Andrew, Alex, and Bentley Newborn; a brother, Lawrence Newborn and wife, Becky of Dickson, TN; two sisters, Marlene Holt and husband, Eddie of Hohenwald, TN and Earlene Kilburn and husband, Leo of Florence, AL; nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Newborn was preceded in death by two sisters, Christine Risner and Lorene Ayers.
Services will be held on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Bobby Carroll officiating. Burial with military rites will follow in Memorial Gardens, Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Pallbearers will be Eddie Holt, Leo Kilburn, Dewayne Brewer, Eric Newborn, Kenneth Thompson, and Byron Cheek.
