SAM REED
Henderson, TN: Samuel Edward Reed age 43, passed away March 27, 2022 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis.
He was born November 16, 1978 in Peru, IN, the son of Vickie Lynn Martin Reed Trice and the late Bruce Wayne Reed. He grew up in Indiana, Wyoming, Montana and Tennessee.
He worked for McNairy County Highway Department, Proline Trucking Company and was a maintenance technician for an apartment complex in Ripley, TN.
He married Dolly Wright on September 6, 1997, they had a son Daniel. He later married Donna Brady on March 3, 2021, after a seventeen year courtship. He was her full time caregiver for the past three years, before her passing on October 27, 2021.
He enjoyed fishing, tinkering on cars and mushroom hunting. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Mr. Reed is survived by his mother, Vickie Lynn Martin Trice and stepfather and best buddy, Damon Trice; two sons, Daniel Wright of Bethel Springs and Seth Sandy of Henderson; a daughter, Brandi Reed and her fiancé Bradley Warf of Henderson; stepdaughters, Jennifer Blaylock (Brett Solley) of Covington and Kelly Norwood (Shawn) of Brownsville, TN; eleven grandchildren, Kylee, Liam, Penny, Jax, Lexi, Drew, Summer, D.J., Peighton, Amilia and Mason; two brothers, Charles Reed of Indianapolis, IN and Jesse Reed (Heather) of Mitchell, IN; three sisters, Kassieanna Hall Eads (Dylan), Heather Butler, and Diamond Butler all of Henderson.
He was preceded in death by his father, his wife, Donna Renee Brady Reed, a son, Nicholas Reed and a sister, Alieanna Hall.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, March 31st at Shackelford Funeral Directors – East Main Chapel with Douglas Carter officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery at Bethel Springs, TN.
The family will receive friends at East Main Chapel 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday.
