Sam H. Hair was born March 9, 1930 in McNairy County, Tennessee the son of the late Troy and Marie Finger Hair.He was united in marriage to Margaret Stroup on December 31, 1948.Mr. Hair was a herdsman and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Adamsville. He was a member of the Polled Hereford Association and was a founder of the Adamsville Saddle Club. He was also a prior member of the Tennessee Walking Horse Association and was a supporter of the McNairy County Republican Party. Mr. Hair departed this life on December 17, 2006 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 76 Years, 9 Months, 8 Days. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Margaret Stroup Hair of Adamsville, Tennessee; three daughters: Susan Vandiver and husband Bobby of Adamsville, Tennessee, Janet Jones and husband Alan of Franklin, Tennessee and Nina Brewer and husband Richie of Pulaski, Tennessee; five grandchildren: Chris Jones, Brian Jones, Jennifer Vandiver, Kaylea Brewer and John Brewer; two great-grandchildren: Alexis Jones and Blake Jones; a sister, JoAnn Harrison of Springfield, Missouri; a special aunt, Pauline Hair; and a special uncle, J. D. Wilkerson. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hair was also preceded in death by two sisters, Patsy Hunt and Bobbie Hassell.
