Sally Lee Austin
was born in Lawton, Tennessee on November 6, 1922 the daughter of the late Eston D. and Billy Ophelia Austin Browder.
On July 23, 1949, she was united in marriage to Arthur John Austin, who preceded her in death on September 3, 1977. During her life, she lived in Kenosha, Wisconsin as well as Savannah, Tennessee. Mrs. Austin retired from Angelica where she worked as an inspector and was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.
She departed this life on June 22, 2006 at Hardin Medical Center in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 83 years, 7 months and 16 days.
Mrs. Austin is survived by 4 sons: Roger Dale Austin of Springhill, Tennessee;
Donald John Austin, James David Austin and Ricky Lynn Austin, all of Savannah, Tennessee; 2 daughters: Wilma Lee Hosea and Angela Kay Austin, both of Savannah;
9 grandchildren: Kevin Hosea, Tracy Harville, Kerry Austin, Brent Austin, Jason Austin, Kim Austin, Josh Austin, Michael Austin and Alisia Pickens;
9 great-grandchildren: Ryan Harville, Blake Harville, Jonathon Austin, Jessica Jerrolds, Hunter Hosea, Cody Austin, Ashlyn Austin, Caitlin Hosea and Matthew Hosea;
and one sister, Jo Ellen McCorkle of Tyronza, Arkansas.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one grandchild, Christy Austin; one great-grandchild, Dallas Austin; 2 sisters, Alsie Kitchens and Ruth Wiggins and 2 brothers: George and Wilburn Browder.
